Preparing the perfect matcha: A ritual for your moment

1. Prepare the matcha

Add 1–2 g of matcha to a bowl (ideally with a bamboo spoon – chashaku).

  • 1 g = for a more delicate, light version
  • 2 g = for a full, intense flavor

2. Heat the water

Heat 70–80 ml of water to the ideal temperature of 70–80 °C (important: do not boil!).

TIP: If you don't have a thermometer, simply let the boiling water sit for 2–3 minutes.

3. Whisk

Whisk the matcha with a bamboo whisk (chasen) in quick, "W" or "M" shaped movements until a fine, creamy foam forms.

4. Enjoy your moment

Your matcha is ready. Now you can adjust the drink to your exact taste and preferences.

ChaChaLab recommendation:

We recommend complementing the whisked matcha with whipped oat milk (for the perfect oat milk matcha latte), but it also tastes great with coconut, almond , or regular cow's milk .

If do you prefer sweeter taste you can add :

  • a pinch of sugar and a little vanilla for a subtle aroma,
  • maple syrup for natural sweetness without added sugar,
  • mango puree as a surprising and refreshing addition.

Matcha is not just a drink – it's a ritual, a moment for yourself.
